80th Birthday

My Aunt Catherine commissioned me to make some 15, but later became 20 invites for her husband, my Uncle David's 80th birthday. So I set to work and came up with the above design.

Then I needed to come up with a birthday card, so I cased one which I saw posted on Splitcoaststampers. It involved cutting strips of coloured cardstock, one good way to use up scraps to make the candles, 80 candles which mean't I needed 8 panels with 10 candles each. For the front of the card, I stamped the background using one of the paint splotched from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and then stamped the "Celebrate your Big Day with Cake" on to whisper white cardstock and die cut it using the balloons die cut. Die cut the number 80 using glitter cardstock and used washi tape and bakers twine to embellish.

Wedding Invitations

I was recently asked if I could make some wedding invitations, not just any invitation, they wanted a box card invite and not some romance run of the mill card. It had to incorporate travel as they were having an overseas wedding. Fortunately for me, they only required 13, but I ended up making 15.

So using my Silhouette Cameo, and some files I had purchased, I set about creating the custom Wedding Invitation.
I was taking some photos as I was assembling it.

They turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself...gave myself a big pat on the back.

Birthday Invites

My sister, Fiona is very special to us all, so with her 40th birthday approaching, we organised a big celebration on her behalf.
My role was to design and create the invitations. I went to work on the 1st April, busy making the invitations, RSVPs, maps and addressing the envelopes.  Lost of "dazzling diamonds", glitter paper and ribbon was used in the making and 100s of butterflies were hand punched. Although the actual text and invitation was printed, these had to be trimmed, glued and embellished.  I'm so happy they turned out so pretty.

I was also tasked with making over 60 cupcake boxes. Using Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink cardstock as well as cardstock from the Natural Composition Specialty DSP range.

Wedding Invites and Decorations

For most of this year I have been busily involved with my cousin, Ken and fiance, Angel's wedding preparations.

They enlisted me to help with the design and making of their invitations, the place cards as well as assorted table decorations.

Now that the wedding is over with, I can post the pictures of my handiwork.

The invitations and place name cards, were made using the Stampin' Up! Simply Soft Hostess & ??? stamp set, Pink Pirouette Ink Pad, Pink Pirouette 3/8" taffeta ribbon, Dazzling Diamons. Whisper white cardstock, the pink shiny cardstock was purchased from Spotlight. C6 envelopes and Notecard envelopes were used.

The inspirational wooden words were purchase from Spotlight and decorated using white paint and the same stamp sets used in the invitations. these were used to decorate each table.
Wooden pegs were painted and painstakingly stamped with "Celebrate Today" and "Thank You" and used for placecard holders.
A metal bird cage was painted and decorated to be used as the "wishing well" card holder.
The banners were care of the Martha Stewart website which had letter templates I could just print out on  my Purple and Pretty in Pink cardstock
Here I am with my cousin, Belinda and niece, Kaylene, greeting guests.
