Club SUM Workshop 13 June 2017

Christmas Sampler
So tonight we started making a 12 x 12 inch Christmas Sampler. I didn't think we would get it all done in the one workshop, and we only completed half of it, so the other half will be done in another workshop.  I pre-cut all the square cardstock and dsp and just got my ladies to stamp, colour and die cut when required and make up the individual squares. We got through 8 of the squares and will do the other 8 on another night.

Merry Tags

The Merry Tags Framelits Dies are so useful for making gift tags. I used the Christmas tree die to make these tags and nothing went to waste.

For the base I just used Whisper White cardstock which I then stamped with the Merriest Wishes circular greeting.

I then used transfer adhesive sheets on my Home for Christmas DSP trimmed down to fit the Big Shot. Ran the DSP through the Big Shot with the Tag die. Then I meticulously removed first the bigger die cut DSP and stuck that to a plain Whisper White tag, followed by the smaller die cut pieces which I stuck down to the stamped Whisper White tag. With the Adhesive transfer sheets, there is no need for messy gluing, just peel and stick. Ta-dah!! Two different tags from the one die cut.  Added some gold thread and they were ready to go on some gifts,

Christmas Cards

Was so busy making my Christmas cards and tags, that I forgot to post the finished items on my blog, so here they are.

I started with the Merry Tags Framelits and my Big Shot and cut out heaps of reindeers and trees in both glitter and red cardstock

Then on a piece of white cardstock I embossed the Pine Bough impression and then stamped the "Be Joyful" stamp from the Merriest Wishes stamp set with Versamark and embossed it with platinum embossing powder. These were then strung with silver thread.
The reindeer tag was then attached to the embossed cardstock with a dimensional. Mounted the white cardstock onto red cardstock and then this was mounted on to the white cardstock base card which was stamped with the greeting from the Calm Christmas stamp set.
Now the cards are ready to be written and sent out to family and friends.

Christmas Greetings

Whenever Christmas comes around, it gets so busy and hectic, that I never get to post the cards I make. This year I made several, some to send and some to give personally.  The ones to send, aren't as detailed or layered as the ones I give out in person, but they are all made with love.

Then there are the last minute ones, which my family members request for their friends.  Lucky I always have cards on standby.

Club SUM Workshop 6 October 2015

It's been a while since I posted, so with this workshop looming, I pulled out the new Holiday Catalogue, my ipad and started searching for ideas on Pinterest. These cards were CASED, but not all items are from the new catalogue, as I found I could use some of my previously purchased items.

Too early for Christmas?

The end of the year is drawing closer and Christmas will be here before you know it, so during a week off up in Port Macquarie, I took along some supplies and started working on my Christmas cards which I send to friends and family.

I've decided to use the Partridge and Pears Stamp Set along with some of the new Blendabilities as well as some coloured markers.

I also got my Club SUM ladies to make a Christmas card using this stamp set and will post a pic of the card when I get some time.

Christmas Box Cards

I am so loving my Silhouette Cameo and the files I get from SVGcuts.

After coming back from Sue's Christmas workshop, I finished off my Christmas wreath and started working on the Christmas box cards from SVGcuts.

So loving them.

I've found out a way to use my surplus cardstock and Stampin' Up! designer paper.

Looking forward to making more cards.

Club SUM Christmas Dinner 19 December 2012

This year we had a combined Christmas dinner and workshop. Following on from the success of last years Thai take out dinner, we again ordered from the same place and had our meal before getting stuck into a Christmas card project.

My sister, Lily was stuck with making the Fruit salad christmas tree which did not quite come out as I had pictured it. Next time, I'll need to prepare it the night before. Just too busy.

Market Day at Epping and Point Clare

It's been a very busy and hectic week, getting things ready in preparation for market day. So busy that I didn't get a chance to take photos of my many goodies that I made.

On Friday 12 November, my friend and upline, Emily manned a stall at the Epping Night Markets. It's my first time to display there and so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was very busy on the night and even though we were inside a hall, the foot traffic came in and sales of items were promising. All my chocolate tree trimmings and chocolate boxed gift cards sold, as well as my milk cartons filled with assorted chocolates. Must say..chocolates equal sales. Only sold a few cards on the night.

Point Clare Markets and some of the goodies for sale
On Saturday 13 November, the day after, it was an early start, although I did sleep in after staying up till 1am in the morning making more goodies, as most had sold the night before. It was a very hot day, and not too many people were interested in the Christmas cards and goodies we had on offer. But it was nice being outdoors with friends, having fish and chips for lunch and and snow cone to cool down and just having a day out in the fresh air.
