Baby Boy Sampler

After I made some baby cards for my friend, I got to thinking I probably could so a sampler or collage, after seeing all the wonderful baby inspired cards on Pinterest, so I set to work and created this sampler for a Baby Boy. This is a fantastic way to use up designer paper and card stock which I have excess of. It's also a great way to make use of those stamp sets which I have in abundance but hardly use.

Baby Girl Card

Whilst I was on holidays in Perth, a friend and former work colleague messaged me, asking if it was possible to make her two cards, both for babies, but one for a boy and one for a girl.

So here is the one I made for a girl. It's a Z-Fold card.
I didn't have a nice baby bear stamp from Stampin' Up! so I used one which I had purchased very early on in my cardmarking and stamping days. Stamping several bears and colouring and cutting each one out to build up the layers.

Easter Treats using the Window Box Dies

I was hesitant in buying the Window Box dies, but decided to get the bundle anyway and now I'm glad I did. The boxes are just divine and I used them for the first time to make these colourful boxes to give away at Easter to my friends and family.  I filled each of them with a Lindt chocolate chicken and and assortment of mini eggs. Another way to use up excess card stock.

Filled with chocolate mini eggs and a Lindt chicken

I did find however that I had lots of "confetti" from the windows. Might use them in shaker cards.

Chinese Wedding Card

I got commissioned to make a Chinese Wedding Card last year, but never got around to posting the finished work.

So what is more Chinese than red packets, with gold embossing. I cut up some red packets which we have for all occasions. The characters on the front and back are double happiness symbols, synonymous with weddings. I used red cardstock as my base and some shiny patterned paper to contrast. Added some heart brads and a white bow to embellish.
The middle of the card front and back can spin. Made by cutting out the diamond shapes and using dental floss (or very narrow string) positioned just so.
Since the Chinese New Year is coming up next week, I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year - "Kung Hei Fat Choy"

Swirly Scribbles Happy Card

I saw a card on Pinterest which used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlit dies. Having purchased this die and not put it to use, I decided to make a card with it based on what I had seen.

Also used the leaf die from the Flourish Thinlits set and an alphabet die set. Embellished it with some sparkling rhinestones and voila.

Turned out very pretty indeed.
