21st birthday card

A relative just celebrated his 21st, so what kind of card would I end up making.  Back to a favourite..the tri-fold card. No stamping involved..but lots of cutting and pasting.

I used the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper from the Neutrals Collection Paper Stack for the shirt and for the background, used Designer Series Paper from the Patterns Pack II. I spritzed the textured black cardstock with gold Smooch Spritz and Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon for the tie.  The buttons were from the Vintage Trinkets set and the Trinket key on the front is tied with Basic Black Taffeta ribbon.

Club SUM Workshop 6 September 2011: Launch of New Catalogue

At our Stampin' Up! workshop on Tuesday night, we launched the new Idea Book and Catalogue and to celebrate I got the girls to make some paper shoes. I had made one shoe and their project was complete the other shoe, so that they had a pair. I used the shoes as a treat holder, so that each of my girls had a bag of chockies to take home as well as a pair of paper shoes. The shoes were made using Flirtatious Designer Series Paper, grosgrain ribbon and brads. Please see my earlier post for the shoe template. It was a challenge putting the shoes together, but in the end I think the girls were happy with their shoes.

Here is a photo of the girls with their finished creations.

Stylish Paper Shoes

I saw these paper shoes and just had to make a pair...or two or three..I just love shoes..either real or paper, and thank you Ellen for sharing. The template is courtesy of Ellen Hutson and can be found on her website.

These shoes would make great holders for party favours for bridal showers, girly parties or just to give as a gift.

I used Sunny Garden Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! and assorted ribbon and brads to trim.
